The flowers of Peltophorum pterocarpum are grouped in short terminal racemes.
The flowers are 5-merous.
The calyx-tube is cup-shaped, 5-lobed and about 1 cm across. The calyx is light green yellowish-coloured and finely pubescent.
The corolla is composed of 5 bright yellow-coloured and pubescent (rusty hairs) petals. The petals are clawed, obovate and crinkled, 2-2.2 cm long and 1.3-1.5 cm wide.
The androecium is composed of 10 stamens. The filaments are 1.5 cm long, yellow-coloured and hairy at the base. The anthers are oblong, 3 mm long and orange-coloured.
The style is 1.2 cm long with a green-coloured and globose stigma.
The ovary is oblong, hairy and rusty.
The buds are covered with short and rusty hairs.
The flowers are fragrant.
