The leaves of Aglaia elaeagnoidea grow alternately on the stem (spirally arranged).
The leaves have a 2.5 to 3.5 cm long petiole.
The leaflets of Aglaia elaeagnoidea are imparipinnate (2-3 pairs of opposite leaflets), dark green coloured above and pale green beneath. They are glabrous on both sides and coriaceous.
The leaflets are 5-10 cm long and 2-4 cm wide. They are elliptic to oblanceolate, the apex is acute (sometimes obtuse), the base is cuneate and the margins are entire.
The venation of the leaf is reticulate.
