The fruit of Pterospermum suberifolium is a capsule. The capsule is oblong, about 5 cm and 2 cm wide. The base is attenuate into a stalk and the apex is horned. The fruit is cream-brownish coloured and velvety. When ripe and dry the persistent capsule opens to release the seeds and looks like a 5-branched star.
