The leaves of Ixora pavetta are opposite on the stem.
There are 2 cuspidate and persistant stipules at the axil of the leaves.
The leaves are simple, thick, coriaceous, leathery and glabrous. They are glossy and dark-green above and light-green beneath. They are 10-16 cm long and 3.5-6 cm wide with a 5-7 mm long and stout petiole.
The leaves of Ixora pavetta are obovate-elliptic with an acute to apiculate apex, a rounded base and entire margins.
The venation of the leaves is reticulation with a prominent midrib on both sides.
