The leaves of Garcinia spicata are opposite and decussate on the stem.
The leaves have a 1-2 cm long petiole.
The leaf is simple, dark green coloured above and light green beneath, glabrous on both sides. They are coriaceous and waxy.
The leaf of Garcinia spicata is 12-20 cm long and 5-9 cm wide. It is ovate-elliptic to oblong, the apex is obtuse, retuse, the base is obtuse and the margins are entire.
The venation of the leaf is pinnate (with looped veins).
