The leaves of Dalbergia lanceolaria subsp. lanceolaria grow alternately on the stem (spirally arranged).
The leaf is compound, imparipinnate, about 15-30 cm long.
The leaflets are alternately arranged.
The leaflets are chartaceous. They are pubescent on the upper sider and on the midrib beneath.
The leaflets have a 0.5 cm long petiole.
The leaflet of Dalbergia lanceolaria subsp. lanceolaria is 3-4 cm long and 2-2.5 cm wide. The shape of the blade is ovate-elliptic, the apex is obtuse-emarginate, the base is rounded and the margins are entire.
The venation of the leaf is reticulate with a prominent midrib.
